The INECA Companies
INECA consists of 32 local exchange companies, each serving between 500 and 13,000 access lines for a total of nearly 165,000 access lines throughout Indiana. These companies have 104 exchanges, employ more than 700 Hoosiers and pay over $30 million dollars in taxes each year.
The INECA companies play a significant role in the economy of the communities they serve. The employment opportunities provided and the presence of the companies’ attractive office facilities contribute directly to the well-being of the communities. In addition to providing quality telephone service, the companies and their affiliates also provide a broad array of telecommunications services. These include broadband internet services, voice mail, long distance services and in many cases, video services.
